Alongside the workshop, we have been conducting different studies on the map. The topics of the studies focus on the social, aesthetically and development of the site:  connectivity, crime safety, typology, land use, pedestrianisation and movement etc.

This community workshop uses the participatory planning approach  to come up with the most effective design proposals through a physical scaled model of the targeted neighborhood to help the residents of the neighborhood and community to envision the existing layout of the neighborhood, recognizing and determining the challenges that need to be tackled and to take part in redesigning and improving the quality of the neighborhood and public spaces.

Pas nje pune te lodhshme, me 14 Shtator, ne zyrat e EYC u mbajt workshopi me banoret e Njesise Administrative Nr.2. Workshopi nisi me prezantimin e pjesemarresve me objektivat e projektit dhe rregullat specifike te lojes dhe shpjegimi ne detaj te nje seri detyrash kolektive te organizuara rreth maketit.  Kjo forme e designit me ane te lojes eshte nje mjeti shume frytdhenes i cili i perfshiu banoret e zones ne debat dhe ku ata ishin ne gjendtje te benin te qarta kerkesat e tyre per hapesirat publike dhe permiresime te tjera ne lagjen e tyre. Ato arriten te nxisin nderveprimin mes pjesetareve te workshopit, I cili pati nje rezultat mjaft te kenaqshem, qe do te mund ti japi eksperteve sugjerimet e nevojshme per ti kthyer keto diskutime ne forme loje ne propozime konktete dhe nderhyrje infrastrukturor ne zone apo edhe ndryshime te mundshme ne legjislacion apo buxhetim te investimeve te ardhshme ne njesi.

📔 Good governance 

In this post we want to talk about the zone, how we experienced and walked through it. Walking on its form connects an inhabitant to its land. Passing through it gives the chance to engage with the land and with one another, following each other’s steps. In modern life one can walk on a sidewalk which is a generator of activity and life among what we may call a growingly passive setting. If we were to think of an ideal city, I’d think of how pedestrianised the roads would be or the domination of active transport which in our case was the topic of our observations. 

 Where do we walk? Where do we stand? Where this zone is located is a dense area in population and buildings. Being a city with over 1 million citizens it is during most times loud and lively. One good thing about this is that the sidewalk is accompanied by storefronts, bars and shops; walking on these streets you can see your neighbour buying vegetables and have to do the small talk thing or you can get yourself distracted by the boutique, so you are never bored or dulled. Being so tight and at a small scale (or even in cases where bars set their tables next to the sidewalk) make the pedestrian not at competition with the surrounding but rather feel welcomed. Narrow sidewalks can trigger some people but also can bring people closer to each other and this is another positive fact. We have our own stools and sit on the sidewalk and play on the road too. Having little open space has made the locals have their chill spots on the sidewalk, giving it a new value: to make a neighbourhood feel like a neighbourhood. Although it should be mentioned that in our interviews we found that there were residents who did mind and felt uneasy having people stand on the street. 

 We do feel the need to keep the people that are here, stay here, and we do need to go out more, and maybe a good sidewalk ( and a bicycle lane please) is what we need.

Pas ftesave te bera banoreve te zones per te marre pjese ne  workshop, skuadra punon me ndertimin e modelit mbi te cilin do te mbahet diskutimi. Qellimi i ketij modeli eshte te jete sa me i lexueshem dhe te ndihmoje te gjithe te adresojne konkretisht ku gjenden mungesa ose problematika ne lagje. 

 Pas oreve te zgjatura te punes, workshopi po merr jete. Shihemi me 14 shtator!

Intervista me banoret e zones. 

Jane zhvilluar nje sere  vizitash dhe takime me banoret me qellim per ti intervistuar ne lidhje me problematikat dhe kerkesat qe kane hasur ne zonat publike te lagjes ne studim. Zona e intervistuar eshte me nje siperfaqe rrethore me diameter 500m, kjo per te kuptuar karakterin e zones ku do realizohet projekti pilot.

Intervista eshte realizuar me anen e 20 pyetjeve me alternativa, ku te intervistuarit shprehen dakordesine e tyre me ane te numrave 1 (aspak dakord) -5(shume dakord) ndaj pyetjeve. Pyetjet konsistonin ne opinionin e banoreve ne lidhje me karakterin e zones, sigurine, transportin aktiv dhe perdorimin e hapesirave publike. 

 Qellimi i ketij intervistimi ishte perfshirja e komunitetit ne dizajn dhe rezultatet e nxjerra nga keto intrvista sherbyen per te evidentuar  minizonat me problematike dhe te kuptojme tipe te ndryshme te demografise dhe efektin, qe ka hapesira publike ne mireqenien e tyre.
