Module 1 – Mobility and Urban Design

In this module participants will explore topics in mobility and urban design related to a sustainable and just urban development in Tirana and in an European perspective. We will discuss how the physical form relates to historical traces and memory. Also, the accessibility of public spaces and amenities and transportation networks are discussed by experts from different backgrounds.

Module 2 – Housing Systems

In this panel discussion, we will delve into the diverse housing typologies prevalent in Albania with a particular focus in Tirana, encompassing single-family homes, apartment buildings, inner-city housing, and the challenges posed by suburban sprawl. Housing affordability will be a central topic, shedding light on the socioeconomic dynamics at play. The extent of social and public housing provision will be discussed, aiming to understand the current state of accessible housing.

Module 3 – EU Policy Integration

This panel discussion will explore a diverse range of topics concerning the European Union’s imperatives and initiatives. It will explore the rationale and necessity behind EU policies and actions, emphasizing the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration in design, sustainability, and innovation within the context of the European Bauhaus Initiative. Additionally, the discussion will highlight the advocacy and significance of school meal programs in nurturing the well-being and education of youth, reflecting the EU’s commitment to its citizens’ welfare.
